Happy Halloween!!

Since Halloween is tomorrow, I decided that Francesca should stay home a little later this morning before going to daycare in order to help mommy carve her jack-o-latern. Brian brought the pumpkin inside a few nights ago - so it didn't get snowed on - and it has made Francesca very curious as to why it was inside. The pictures to follow pretty much explain themselves, but Francesca wanted nothing to do with the inside of the pumpkin (after the initial touch), so while I carved it out, she had a cookie and cider and then helped remove the face pieces. Once we were done (notice a tooth carved for each baby), she decided the pumpkin needed a cookie too. Also, before she left for daycare, she had to give pumpkin a kiss.

Thankfully, while we were enjoying our pumpkin carving, the twins took naps in their swings (***Special thanks to Uncle Dust, Aunt Nik and Hailey for letting us borrow their swing!!! Both babies love the swing as you can tell (They slept there for 2 1/2 hours!) and the extra swing has been a huge lifesaver.) Finally, there is a picture of me with the twins from a few nights ago that I decided to add just for fun.

Happy Birthday - One month old!!!!

The twins were one month old on Friday, October 24. As the cliche goes, I can't believe how quickly the first few weeks went. They are little angels. We are so blessed and grateful that they are our's. In the pictures below you'll see when I let Ella's hair 'go' it is quite curly!! She is a princess. TJ is probably going to need a haircut before he's 6 months old. He is my sweetheart.

To celebrate, Daddy, Francesca and I went to McDonald's and BJs. You'll see from the pics that we had tons of fun!! (One of Francesca's favorite places is BJs because she LOVES the cart.) I've also attached a Halloween preview and a picture of Francesca in her new winter coat - which she loves!!

A visit to Monica's...

Yesterday TJ and Ella (and mommy) went to meet Monica for the first time. She is a little sweetheart and slept the whole time we were there. We only stayed a little while but are looking forward to a lot more visits and photo opportunities soon!

The twins also celebrated their four week birthday yesterday. How time flies!!

A Day in the Life of the Pisciotti's

Well, it has been almost a month since the twins arrived, and so far we seem to be establishing a pretty good routine - at least during the week. I feed the twins (at the same time - what a fete!) sometime around 6-6:30am, and then, they fall asleep and I get Francesca's breakfast ready. She gets up and eats around 7am and then, we send Daddy off to school. Then, Francesca has a bath and we play, and the twins feed again before she goes off to daycare at 9:30am. Then, it's a mixture of eating, resting (ususally we all take an afternoon nap) and chores until Francesca and Daddy get home at around 3:30-4:00pm. Usually, I have tried to finish a feeding before they get home, so I can spend some time with Francesca and get dinner ready. We usually eat before the next feeding and spend the rest of the night playing, reading and eventually winding down. I'm still sleeping downstairs with the twins, and it seems to be working out well. I try to start to sleep in between feedings after their 9-9:30pm feeding and am still getting a decent amount of sleep. A happy mommy makes for happy babies or is it the other way around :) Regardless, we all seem to be adjusting well to each other and just love to pieces the newest additions to the family :) As promised, here are a bunch of random pictures from the past few weeks. It has been a bit difficult to be a full time mom and a photographer besides, but I hope to be able to pick up the camera more in the coming weeks.
TJ and Ella ready to leave the hospital.
Lawn decorations announcing the twins arrival - thanks to Grandma Pisciotti and David.
Lots of kisses from big sister Francesca!
Playtime - Francesca gets in on the action!!
Jonathan came for a visit with Aunt Ci-ci and couldn't get enough of the babies - even when they were crying.

Life is good.

I'm running a bit behind with the blog, but my goal is to try to put up a weekly update at least. Things are going pretty well. We've had lots of visitors and seem to be settling in nicely. TJ and Ella don't do a lot right now - eating and sleeping for the most part. As a matter of fact, I've snapped this same picture at least three times in the last week and it seems to summarize their lives thus far.

Baby Watch 2008 continues as we await the arrival of Michele and Garth's baby. Stay tuned for their news!!
